Duties:

– Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and materials required

– Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment

– Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes

– Review and evaluate subcontractor quotes and proposals

– Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options

– Create detailed take-offs and quantity surveys

– Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients

– Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required

– Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)

– Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry

– Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs

– Proficient in using estimating software and tools

– Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

– Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy

– Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
