Our client has a strong reputation throughout the renewables sector supplying various products and services to both commercial and domestic markets. The business focuses on delivering innovative and bespoke products to solar pv, heat pump, air conditioning, wall insulation and battery storage markets.The organisation currently has an annual turnover in excess of £5M, but within the next 12-18 months, is on course to achieve a £10M turnover. The company has a high growth mentality and they are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable and ambitious Estimator from within the renewable sector, to help materialise the organisations ambitions. This is truly an exciting time to be joining the business.THE ROLEEstimating projects within the renewables sector focusing on solar pv and heat pumps – drawing up assessments of how much it will cost to provide clients or potential clients with the company’s products and servicesResearching materials, equipment and labour costsGathering quotes from sub-contractors and suppliersAssessing the levels of risk on a projectEnsuring that projects and supplied quotes are carried out with accuracyLiaising with manufacturers in terms of pricingBeing the central point of contact for clients regarding estimation servicesHelping to drive the overall estimating department forward – leading and advising junior estimators within the departmentFormulating and checking quotes for company tendersHelping to win and secure long-term business relationshipsAttending site visits with new clients, building relationships and ensuring a high-quality customer focused serviceTHE PERSON2 years’ minimum Estimation experience within the Solar/Heat pump sectorPrevious experience working within the commercial sector preferred to domesticAbility to drive the team forward – additional 3 Estimators work within the departmentKnowledgeable and well contacted within the wider supply chainCommercial focused, able to work with accurate quotes and drive new businessAbility to develop pre-existing relationships and help secure new businessA dynamic, hungry and ambitious individualAble to travel to client sites (minimal travel)THE PACKAGEThis is a permanent contract from day one.The hours of work are 8am-5pm (40-hour week)Salary is between £30K-£35K depending on experience. 22 days holiday plus stat, mileage allowance and free on-site parkingTO APPLYPlease send your updated CV and our Engineering Consultants will reach out to you.
