Estimator - Permanent - Family-Run Contractor - Worcestershire Office - Civil Engineering and Groundworks

Your new company
You will be joining a family-run civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Worcestershire. This multi-accredited and established company is well-known in the industry for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Midlands region and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard an Estimator to join their pre-contract division.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Worcestershire office.
Your new role
As Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects including foundations, drainage, roadworks, excavation and utilitiesAnalysing project specifications, drawings and tender documents to identify scope and risksPreparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQ), cost plans and tender proposalsLiaising with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and technical informationMaintaining accurate records of all estimates and bids for reporting and future referenceConducting site visits when necessary to assess project requirementsAssisting in budget preparation and cost control during project execution when required.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:Proven experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator within the civil engineering and/or groundworks industriesSound understanding of construction processes, materials and costsAttention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsFull UK driving licence.
