Negotiable Salary 29k- 35k DOE
Estimator required to join this established family run business within the production/sign making industry.
About the role
The role will involve the following duties and responsibilities
- Pricing jobs from one off items right through to large tenders
- Liaising with suppliers organising and costing materials for manufacturing projects
- Negotiating with suppliers to get the best price for materials
- Working closely with the project teams on tenders from preparation to submission
- Responsible for cost calculations to cost each project / job including materials, labour costs and equipment.
- Using project management software to prepare estimates and quotations.
- Working within a small team but also working on your own initiative.
Skills and experience required
To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience
- Have previously worked as an Estimator ideally within construction and non food manufacturing sectors
- Have experience and be confident in dealing with writing and submitting tenders, and cost calculations
- Have excellent negotiation skills and be confident in dealing with suppliers.
- Have previously used project management software, Clarity or similar.
- Be able to work in a team but on your own initiative
- Be able to deal with customers at all levels.
