What You ll Be Doing
Working from the head office in Romford, you ll be a vital part of the commercial team, managing the full estimating lifecycle from enquiry through to submission.
- Review and analyse drawings, plans and project specifications
- Conduct site visits when required to gather project-specific data
- Measure quantities using digital take-off software (OST or similar)
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, and plant
- Produce accurate Bills of Quantities and tender submissions
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive quotes
- Assist in adjudicating tenders with company directors
- Respond to post-tender queries and value engineering opportunities
You re a confident Estimator with solid construction sector experience and a sharp eye for detail. Painting and decorating experience is beneficial, but not essential.
- 5+ years estimating experience in construction, fit-out, or specialist trades
- Familiarity with new build residential and commercial fit-out projects
- Comfortable reading and analysing architectural and technical drawings
- Proficient in On Screen Take-Off (OST) or similar software
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness
