Estimator West Midlands

360 Recruitment are currently assisting a specialist contractor in their search for an Estimator based out of their West Midlands office.

This opportunity is working on demolition schemes up to £20million+ in value.

As a key part of the Estimating team, you will play a vital role in pricing projects, preparing bids, and ensuring commercial viability.

Job role: Estimator

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (salary is dependent on your experience within the demolition sector or construction sector)

Estimator Responsibilities:

• Review tender documentation and collaborate with the Bid Manager to define submission deliverables.
• Conduct site visits to assess scope and gather information for accurate pricing.
• Work with CAD technicians to develop method statements and outline programmes.
• Identify and price specialist subcontract packages; obtain and analyse competitive quotes.
• Measure works and produce basic Bills of Quantities as needed.
• Price from first principles (labour, plant, materials) or using composite rates for tenders and budgets.
• Participate in adjudication meetings and adjust bids based on feedback.
• Respond to post-tender queries and manage client communications.
• Record all tender data and ensure a smooth handover to the delivery team.

Key Skills:

• Experience within the demolition or construction industry.
• Proficient across MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm & determination.
• Good problem solver.
