Hill McGlynn Recruitment are pleased to be working with a growing and well-established contractor who, due to continued expansion, are now looking to appoint an Estimator to be based out of their Havering office.

Our client delivers a diverse portfolio of works, including new build projects, repairs and refurbishment, and cladding/facades schemes. This role would suit an Estimator with experience in one or more of these sectors who is looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of work and long-term stability.

The Role As an Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing and tendering a range of projects, working closely with the commercial and delivery teams to produce accurate and competitive submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope of works
• Producing take-offs and pricing using supply chain and subcontractor input
• Assessing risk, value engineering opportunities, and commercial viability
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout the tender process
• Supporting pre- and post-tender meetings as required

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator
• Background in new build, refurbishment/repairs, and/or cladding & facades
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
• Good communication skills and commercial awareness
