A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced estimator to join a leading fit out company.

Job description:

• Assess tenders, breakdown packages i.e., Bespoke joinery, doors, wall cladding and ceiling features.
• Study the drawings, send out RFQ’s to subcontractors and compare their quotes.
• Return RFI sheets to the client and review the feedback.
• Build pricing schedules and cost tender package, ensuring the costs are relevant to the tender specification and finishes documents.
• Formulate the project preliminaries and clearly qualify the submission.
• Compile the BOQ or CSA and balance the costing sheet with the submission.
• Investigate possible VE options, and supply design sketch proposals in conjunction with our in-house design team
• Compile tender specific presentations for client meetings.
• Once the project has been awarded, spend time handing the project over to the QS design department and project management team so they understand the works completely.
• Working knowledge of Excel and word an advantage.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

• GCSE or equivalent
• Estimating
• Driving Licence
• Joinery / trade experience
