Job Role: Junior Fit Out Estimator
Area: Rochester, Kent (Office based)
Salary: £25k - £30k
My client is seeking a Junior Fit Out Estimator to join their growing team. The candidate will have at least 2 years experience within the fit-out industry & responsible for fit out tenders. The role will progress into an Estimator role OTE.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for fit out projects ranging from £10k - £300k.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid estimates.
- Retrieve material & labour costs inputting information into project budgets
- Maintain records of all estimates/projects, and other relevant documents.
- Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and summaries for review by management.
- Support communication with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and verify scope inclusions.
The candidate:
- Previous 2 years experience within the fit-out industry
- Excel/computer skills
- Ability to read drawings and undertake scaled take offs
- Ability to attend site visits to undertake surveys prior to providing quotes
- Eager to learn with a driven attitude
- Ability to work solely or part of a team
- Ability to liaise with client project management/site team
