Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimation process from initial enquiry to final tender submission
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and documentation to determine project costs
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to assess requirements
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes
- Monitor project budgets and ensure alignment with estimates
- Contribute to tender documentation and pricing negotiations
- Stay informed on market trends, material costs, and industry standards
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Factor in inflation, exchange rates, and projected timelines
- Stay current with construction technologies and innovations
- Visit proposed construction sites for assessments
- Present bids to clients and respond to queries
- Prepare and submit quotations for work
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Detail-oriented and collaborative team player
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or related field (preferred)
