Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects from initial concept through to completion.
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop tender strategies and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Conduct market research to determine labour, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Maintain a detailed and up-to-date database of cost information for future reference.
  • Ensure all estimates are completed within deadlines and to the highest standards of accuracy.
  • Support project teams during post-tender negotiations and project execution as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Senior Estimator ideally with experience within social housing.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
