Our client, based in Stockport and a family-owned business, are the UK s leading Point of Sale manufacturers. Their state-of-the-art premises boasts a huge range of products and services, with industry leading technology.
They are looking for a Trainee Estimator to price products and to action customer requests in line with margin targets and timescales, full training will be provided.
The Role:
- Cost and price products
- Create and develop processes and systems to calculate costs and margin
- Minimise response time to customer requests and prioritise key customers
- Communicate effectively with other departments
- Maximise margin on all quotations
- Evaluate best-selling products and trends
- Negotiate fixed price periods with suppliers
- Identify and deliver cost savings
- Produce, review and update accurate product review schedules
- Deliver buying processes within agreed timescales and targets
- Monitor product quality and performance of suppliers against agreed standards
- Maintain all information on appropriate systems and documentation.
The Candidate:
- Experience of supply chain management
- Experience of managing and negotiating with multiple suppliers
- Excellent & strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Good IT skills
- Display strong negotiation skills.

Salary & Benefits
