Our client is a leading construction company and they are in need of a Trainee Project Coordinator to join their team.

Description

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting and overseeing the design development process within the Technical Team, ensuring consideration of value engineering and buildability throughout.
• Attending Tender Launch meetings as necessary to align information for the Estimator with ER's and crafting well-considered contractor proposals to mitigate risks.
• Aiding in the procurement and evaluation of competitive quotations from consultants, utility companies, and Local Authorities to establish precise fee schedules and secure optimal pricing.
• Comprehending and assisting in the management of consultant design schedules to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of information for procurement purposes.
• Collaborating in briefing design consultants through tailored scopes of service to furnish appropriate project-specific information.
• Securing early approvals for Planning consent conditions, attaining 'Unconditional' approval for Building Regulations applications, and obtaining other necessary approvals to mitigate risks.
• Reviewing drawings for compliance with Employers Requirements and pertinent legislation.
• Supporting the prompt acquisition of technical approvals for Sectional Agreement works.
• Building and nurturing strong internal and external relationships by allocating suitable time for on-site engagement.
• Coordinating with Pre-construction and Production Teams to swiftly and comprehensively address design queries.
• Contributing to the provision of 'as-built' records and other documentary evidence upon project completion.

Profile

Must have:

• Good communication skills
• Computer literate in Word and Excel, Powerpoint
• Working to achieve building qualifications
• Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• An ability to work in a team

Desirable:

• Ability to work under pressure
• A good understanding of construction technology
• Basic level in Asta Power Projects
• Commercial acumen
