We are currently recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer/Procurement specialist to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for our construction projects. The Buyer/Procurement Assistant will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery of quality goods and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adherence to project budgets.
The duties would involve:
- Assist in the procurement process by researching, sourcing, and selecting suppliers/vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in quantities, specifications, and pricing.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify procurement needs and requirements for each project.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers/vendors to secure the best possible deals and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality of goods/services, and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and delivery schedules.
- Assist in resolving any procurement-related issues or discrepancies that may arise during the course of projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new procurement opportunities to optimize purchasing strategies.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely processing and payment of invoices.
- Support inventory management efforts by monitoring stock levels, conducting periodic inventory checks, and recommending replenishment orders as needed.

Experience/skills required:
- Experience with Cladding or re-cladding work / Construction Industry.
- A strong work ethic, flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers/vendors.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry regulations is a plus.
