CAD Technician
Project Locations: Northwest & West Yorkshire (Majority in Manchester)
Office Location: Stockport
Salary: £30k - £40k (experience depending)
Start: ASAP (July)
Shift Pattern/Hours: Mon Fri, 8am 5pm
My client is a main Design & Build contractor based in Manchester that has rapidly grown over the last few years to offer a mixture of services to their clients including Fitouts, Refurbs, Structural extensions & Small Newbuilds.
They specialise in small/medium design & build projects across the Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare & Education sectors up to £10m.
Overview:
They are currently looking for a CAD Technician with at least 2-3 years experience working for a construction company. You will play an instrumental role in creating technical drawings and models for Fitout, Refurb & extension projects within the commercial, Industrial, Healthcare & Education sectors. In your role you will work closely with the project managers, estimators and supplier network to produce drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Working on a range of fit out and refurb projects.
- Liaising regularly with both clients and the internal team to gain a full understanding of the project brief.
- Producing 2D and 3D AutoCAD designs and developing concept ideas into detail drawings for pricing.
- Collaborate with project teams and attend meetings as required.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing support and resolving queries.
Must Have:
- Experience with AutoCAD & Adobe InDesign
- A Technical background of how things are made and put together.
- Highly organized with good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
- Structured Career History
- Ability to travel when needed to sites across the Northwest
- Ability to reach & work from the Stockport Office
