Job Opportunity: Contract Estimator - Remote

Carmichael UK is seeking a skilled Contract Estimator to join a tier 1 contractor on the Devonport Docks project in Plymouth, requiring occasional site visits every 2-3 months. This role offers competitive compensation ranging from £450 to £500/day on a PAYE Umbrella basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and civils projects.
• Analyse blueprints, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labour estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project feasibility and budget constraints.
• Research and source materials and costs to develop reliable estimates.
• Review and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare and maintain a database of historical data to inform future estimation projects.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines.
