Estimator required in London

GVR Solutions are currently representing a reputable and very well-established leading contractor, based in London, who have entered the market for an Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

As a contractor they mainly work within the refurbishment and cut and carve sector of London.

Responsibilities of the Estimator:

• Working and supporting the existing Estimator to finalize the construction methodology, temporary works requirements, preliminaries, staff costs and ensuring this is integrated into the overall estimate
• Collation & review of tender documents to gain a solid project understanding
• Working amongst the existing team to obtain job specific market rates for materials.
• Liaison with subcontractors to obtain site specific quotations
• Establishing new and building existing relationships with clients / contractors / suppliers
• Coordinate site visits with team members to understand project logistics / constraints
• Attending meetings with clients to discuss projects / tenders & negotiate contract sums
• Validating unit rates and construction methodology with key sub-contractors and ensure this is built into budget.
• Offering VE options with tender
• Presentation of tenders for adjudication with senior management team

The Estimator must have/be:

• Minimum 4 years previous Estimating experience working as an Estimator for an established UK contractor
• A team player
• Previous experience as an Estimator
• Experience working on either fit out or refurbishment contracts
