Our client is a groundworks and reinforced concrete frame contractor based in North London with an annual turnover of £250 million, due to a number of project wins and organic growth, my client now needs to expand the pre-construction team, a need now exists for an Estimator.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Developing tender strategy and managing the timely tender submission to clients

• Assessing and implementing risk assessments within the tender

• Pricings jobs using first principals estimating and value engineering

• Preparing tender sum analysis/pricing document/bills of quantities

• Taking of dimensions from drawings as required

• Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates for residential groundworks projects up to the value of £10M

• Post tender financial negotiations

• Liaison with design consultants during tender process to obtain design information and ensure the most viable construction processes are adopted

Experience Required:

• 3 – 5 years of experience as an Estimator with a RC Frame contractor

• You will have a stable CV and must come from a civil engineering / groundworks background

• Estimators will ideally be educated to HNC level as a minimum (or equivalent)

• You will have experience of computerised Estimating software and Microsoft Office Packages

• To be able to produce accurate results within the time pressured environment of pre-contracts
