PSR Solutions are currently working with a Tier 1 Contractor working on a variety of M&E Rail projects in the South East.

The responsibilities for this role:

The Estimator is responsible for ensuring that the estimated cost of a project is prepared correctly to company standard and this will have to be done consistently and you will need to know the methods of construction and all circumstances which may affect the execution of the work on a project within the rail M&E role based in Kent.

• Ensure tender documents, addendum's, client correspondence etc., are logged on the server and relevant team members are issued with copies.
• Produce sub-contractor enquiry schedule, obtaining suggestions / feedback from the tender team, procurement department preferred/ approved contractor schedules.
• Issue sub-contract enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules, this will need to be done when it is applicable to.
• Issue materials enquiries when needed.

The experience you'll need for this role:

• We'll be looking for someone that has experience within M&E in construction, desirably for in the rail sector.
• Must have strong analytically and numeracy skills to accurately evaluate detailed specifications, cost and risk.
• We're looking for someone that has got very good organisation skills and someone that can be self driven within this role.
• You must have great attention to detail.
• Must have a detailed knowledge of the latest processes, materials, and costs. In addition, they should be familiar with Conquest/Causeway/Coins or similar estimating software.
