A leading civil engineering contractor is looking for an Estimator to join their growing team in Preston. • Analyse tender information and assess construction methods, risks and opportunities
• Price civil engineering works from first principles (earthworks, drainage, ducting, paving)
• Prepare construction programmes/sequencing (ASTA training available)
• Manage subcontract enquiries and evaluate supply chain responses
• Compile net cost estimates and present at internal adjudications
• Coordinate bid inputs and contribute to winning tender strategies
• Ensure timely, compliant tender submissions

About You

• Strong estimating experience within civil engineering
• Ability to measure quantities, set bills and work independently
• Understanding of bid writing and building competitive quotations
• Knowledge of Conquest desirable
• Good communication skills and confidence working to deadlines
• Transferable construction estimating experience also considered.
