A leading cladding contractor based near Portsmouth is searching for a Cladding Estimator to join the business.
The company has been operating for over 15 years and has built a strong reputation within the Façade sector working for contractors and private clients.
The company is presently undertaking a large amount of re-cladding projects on behalf of their clients and are looking for a knowledgeable estimator with cladding experience who is looking for a long term opportunity to grow with the business.
The Role
- Reading cladding drawings and completing detailed measurements for lump sum tenders.
- Obtaining quotes for all scope requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Collating detailed price lists for everything needed on each tender.
- Calculating the cost of materials, labour and prelims for tendered scope.
- Compiling tender submissions and issuing to potential clients in a timely manner.
- Presenting bids to clients and answering their mid and post tender queries.
- Making use of relevant computer software such Causeway Estimating or Excel.
- Attending meetings and site visits with potential clients.
- Building and maintaining relationships with potential clients.
- Liaising with other team members including Construction Managers, Planners and design teams to ensure tenders are compliant with client and main contractor requirements.
- Working in a fast-paced pre-construction team environment.
The Person
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a Cladding Estimator.
- HNC or Degree qualified.
- Good knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
- Organised team player.
