Company engaged in various schemes as a contractor to the rail industry requires an Estimator with Network Rail and civils experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate estimates for civils projects in the rail sector
• Perform analysis of project specifications, gaining strong project knowledge
• Carry out site visits to assess potential impacts on project costs
• Work with colleague and stakeholders to provide comprehensive, accurate cost estimates
• Accurately estimate cost of materials, labour and sub-contractor services
• Supplier and vendor coordination - securing competitive pricing, negotiating and building strong relationships
• Identify any risks that may impact on project costs, coming up with plans to mitigate this
• Put together bid proposals in response to client requests
• Ensure all estimates comply with client requirements, company policies and industry legislation
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids and other project documentation

Requirements:

Experience as a Civils Estimator within the rail sector is essential, along with strong proficiency in the use of Candy software.
