Oour client has established themselves as one of the most reputable commercial office fit-out M&E contractors in London. They are renowned for delivering tier 1 fit-out projects for tier 1clients . The business has a prudent approach to increasing turnover over the next five years, supported by a robust growth plan, sensible investment, and repeat business. Following a sustained period of growth over the past three months, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator to join their operations team.
The Mechanical Estimator will be client-facing and take a hands-on approach to managing my client s pipeline of work. They will be responsible for overseeing tenders by researching and gathering all relevant information, securing work for the company by completing and submitting competitive tenders.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Undertake tenders by reviewing and completing tender forms, ensuring they meet the given specifications. Evaluate tenders and provide pricing in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
- Obtain estimates and prices from sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and issue tenders in accordance with the provided tender documentation.
- Conduct site surveys.
- Edit design drawings.
- Follow up on tenders and assist with securing projects.
- Provide leadership for continuously improving the estimating process.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate:
- Has 5 years experience as an estimator within M&E building services.
- Possesses good technical knowledge of mechanical building services.
- Has experience working in the office fit-out sector.
- Has experience working on projects valued at approximately £1 million within their own discipline.
