Time 4 Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Estimator working for one of the UKs market leading Contractors offering bespoke Engineering Solutions across sectors including commercial, Education, retail, sports & leisure, defence and custodial, and Healthcare.
A driven and dynamic Mechanical Estimator is required to join a highly successful and expanding team based at the Plymouth or Bristol Office - covering the whole of the South West Region.
The ideal Mechanical Estimator will be a highly self-motivated individual to work closely with clients and be able to produce tenders for varying sized projects form £50,000 to £50 million for clients for the whole of the South West
Due to the nature of the role is essential you have a minimum of 3 years experience working on Mechanical projects having worked on multi million pounds Mechanical contracts with main contractors
Responsibilities
• Read project drawings to specification and create estimates for profitable projects
• Work with and review subcontractors quotes for specialist equipment.
• Negotiate and work with suppliers
• Meet tender deadlines
• Responsible for tenders between £50,000 to £50 million plus
• Develop enquiries with client representatives.
• Attend pre- contract meetings and handovers with Project Management team.
• Continued contact with the project team regarding completion of the job to ensure smooth and profitable progression.
Skills required:
• 3 years minimum experienced in Mechanical estimating.
• A sound technical knowledge of Mechanical systems and schematics.
• Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with all company and clients staff with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Strong maths and analytical skills.
