HVAC Mechanical Estimator
Location:Manchester (with UK-wide travel)

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technical services provider that delivers Hard FM, maintenance and project installations to major commercial clients across the UK. Due to growth, the business is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator to join its Projects Team.

This is a dynamic role with scope to develop the estimating function, lead processes, and eventually build your own team.

The Role

• Prepare mechanical estimates and collate bids for HVAC works.

• Source and review subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Assess risks, raise RFIs, and ensure compliance with client specifications.

• Draft and submit tender documentation with technical/commercial clarifications.

• Suggest value engineering options and provide planning support.

• Build strong subcontractor and supplier relationships.

Projects

• Plant replacements, refurbishments, fit-outs, and new builds.

• Project values typically range from £10k £250k.

• Ability to price smaller projects from limited information or site visits is essential.

About You

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Mechanical Estimator.

• Strong HVAC knowledge (boilers, AHUs/MHVR, ventilation, AC, drainage, steam/condensate).

• Excellent math's, IT and organisational skills.

Strong communication and commercial awareness.
