Contract Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor

I am working exclusively with a dynamic and growing property developer in Skipton who is seeking a Contract Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming high-value construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS or Estimator to work on a flexible, contract basis and bring immediate value to a busy and ambitious team. You ll be key in overseeing financial performance, managing commercial risk, and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple construction projects to ensure timely delivery and budget control
• Manage all commercial aspects from pre-construction budgeting to final account
• Coordinate with subcontractors for procurement, negotiation, and cost control
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and implement cost mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present development appraisals and financial reports to banks and stakeholders
• Create comprehensive Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Work to support project planning and tendering

What We re Looking For:

• Proven experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimating within construction or development
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage project finances end-to-end
• Comfortable working independently on a contract basis
• Effective communicator, confident in presenting to clients and stakeholders
• Availability to start promptly or within a short timeframe
