About my client

My client is a reputable commercial fit out company with a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial new builds, shopfitting, and new build housing. As we continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team.

Role Overview:

As a Front-End Quantity Surveyor, youll play a crucial role in theprojects. Youll collaborate closely with theCommercial Manager, Directors, and existing team. Your responsibilities will span from project procurement to final account reporting. Heres what youll be doing:

• Cost Estimation: Analyze construction plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine material quantities and calculate costs.
• Bill of Quantities: Produce and price bills of quantity from drawings and specifications.
• Tender and Contract Documents: Prepare tender and contract documents.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze current and upcoming project finances.
• Commercial Changes: Develop responses to commercial changes.
• Subcontract Management: Manage subcontractors.
• Site Visits: Familiarity with site visits and client-facing activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven Record: At least 4 years of surveying experience in the drylining and partitioning industry.
• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar field.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the fit-out industry.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, numeracy, literacy, and communication in English.
• Software Proficiency: Comfortable with Microsoft Office and take-off software (e.g., K10 specifications)
