We are currently seeking a focused and detail-oriented Trainee Estimator to join a family-run SME business based in Nottingham. As Trainee Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients by providing accurate cost estimates for various projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse project requirements, evaluate costs, and develop comprehensive proposals.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Dealing with a manufactured range of high quality doorsets & architectural hardware
• Managing all inbound enquiries via telephone and email
• Read and interpret customer requirements before producing quotations
• Develop and present quotations to customers for various projects
• Manage the full sales pipeline from enquiry to order
• Build and develop relationships with architects and tier 1 contractors
• Deal with any other general admin and technical enquiries
• Dealing with multiple order and enquiry values up to circa 1m

Requirements

• Experience in doors and/or ironmongery preferred but not essential.
• Experience in the built environment preferred but not essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• High levels of attention to detail and organisation skills
• Hungry, intelligent and humble with a willingness to learn
• Team player yet able to work autonomously
• A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Hours: Mon Friday 8am 5pm (4pm Friday)
