Position: CAD Operator
Location: RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk, UK Note: Own transport is essential due to the location.
Working Hours: Monday Friday 07:30-16:30 Contract: 6 months (extendable)
Day Rate: £200

Osiris Recruitment is proud to support our client in recruiting for a skilled CAD Operator to join their team at RAF Lakenheath. This role will be instrumental in supporting the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron/Engineering Flight on various projects.
RAF Lakenheath is the largest US Air Force-operated base in England and boasts the only F-15 fighter wing in the US Air Force in Europe (USAFE).

Experience Required:

• Three years of proven experience in civil, construction, or survey design drafting, particularly with AutoCAD.
• At least one year of experience with GIS software.
• Proficient in Autodesk, ESRI, and Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in engineering, geography, architecture, construction management or GIS is favourable.

Job Description:
Your role will encompass various activities including:

• Creating CAD and GIS drawings, maps, and other design elements.
• Managing drawing databases.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure end-user requirements are met.
• Create, review, update, plot, print, and troubleshoot Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) files.
• Convert files between older and newer software versions.
• Maintain files in an orderly system following Base Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage, manipulate, and develop technical drawings, designs, and plans using CAD (AutoCAD and Revit) and GIS software (ARCGIS Pro 3.1.2 or later & AutoCAD 2023 Map 3D 2023) as required by the government.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project requirements.
• Review Geospatial submittals in compliance with the latest Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE).
• Provide a report of discrepancies to the US Government.

• Disciplines include, but are not limited to, land use planners, architects, interior designers, engineering disciplines typically associated with design and construction, cost estimators, specification writers, Computer Assisted Design and Drafting (CADD) technicians, GIS analysts.

Performance Objectives:

• Consistently produce accurate design drawings, layouts, and sketches.
• Deliver documents by the required due date 90% of the time.
• Complete any required revisions within 2 days.
